When Offered: Fall; Spring The course covers principles of geographic information science and applied practice with geographic information systems (GIS). Emphasis will be on the primary functions of GIS use, map design, and spatial analysis relevant to social and environmental issues through laboratory exercises and projects. Lecture two hours, laboratory two hours. Prerequisites: GHY 2310 and GHY 2812 or permission of the instructor. (ND Prerequisite: passing the math placement test or successful completion of MAT 0010.)
