E S 4000 - Strength and Conditioning Theory and Practice (3) When Offered: Fall A comprehensive study of training theory and methods with an emphasis on the development of maximal strength, power, and anaerobic capacity. Also included is a brief review of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, endocrine, and bioenergetic aspects of exercise and training, as well as hands-on experience in lifts, drills, and testing procedures. Lecture three hours. Prerequisite: Declared Exercise Science major or minor, E S 3002 .
