ANT 4470 - Cultural Artifacts (3)


When Offered: Spring
This course explores the complex ways in which cultural artifacts intersect with our social relations and subjectivities. Drawing on diverse approaches to the production, exchange, consumption, and significance of material culture, both within and beyond anthropology, this course encourages critical engagement with things both past and present. Students who have previously received credit for ANT 4471 may not enroll in or receive credit for ANT 4470.
Prerequisites: ANT 3600  or ANT 3625  or permission of instructor.
