SPE 4215 - Strategies for Teaching Mathematics to Students with Disabilities: General Curriculum (3)

The purpose of this course is to teach principles of remediation in mathematics for students with moderate disabilities. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on instructional modifications for establishing a remedial instruction program in mathematics appropriate for candidates in special education: general curriculum. Candidates will become familiar with and implement scientifically based instructional approaches. This course is required for candidates majoring in special education with a concentration in general curriculum K-12, but may be taken by special education - adapted curriculum majors.
Prerequisite: CI 4210 /SPE 4210   and Admission to Teacher Education.
