BIO 5375 - Bacterial Pathogenesis (3)
When Offered: Fall
This course is designed to explore the ongoing battle between humans and pathogenic bacteria at a molecular level. We will study new approaches to understanding bacterial infections, generation and spread of antibiotic resistance, ways bacteria evade the immune system, genetic regulation of virulence factors, and molecular mechanisms of invasion of the human body.
