General Education Requirements (44 Hours)


CHE 1101 /CHE 1110  and CHE 1102 /CHE 1120  fulfill Science Inquiry. MAT 1110  fulfills Quantitative Literacy.

Language Requirements (6-12 Hours)


Completion of 6 semester hours at the *intermediate level or higher

Note: Language courses 1010 & 1020 or 1030 are prerequisites for *intermediate level courses.

Language courses 1050 or 1060 may be used in General Education Liberal Studies Experience.

Major Requirements (47 Hours)


Not including 12 hours already counted in I, above

2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major department, plus any other courses under III. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered by Appalachian. No more than 46 semester hours of Physics and Astronomy courses may be counted toward the BA Degree.
