Program Requirements


General Education Requirements (44 Hours)


Some general education requirements may be double-counted in the major with departmental approval. Please see your advisor for information.

Major Requirements (41-46 Hours)


(not including 15 semester hours for science & math and  already counted in Area I above)

2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major department, plus any other courses under major and concentration requirements. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered through Appalachian.

Foundations of Psychological Science (12 Hours)


Choose at least one course from each of the following groups

Sustainability Concentration (21 Hours)


Minimum of 21 semester hours

Any course used to satisfy a general education requirement cannot be used to satisfy a concentration requirement.

All courses must be from  Environmental Science, Geography, & Sustainable Development must be from the 2000 level or above; Biology courses may be at 1000 or above.
