General Education Requirements (44 Hours)

Major Requirements (48-49 Hours)


2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major discipline, plus any other courses under Major Requirements. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered by Appalachian.

6-9 hours of Anthropology electives at or above 2000 level. At least 3 sh must be at the 4000 level.

(Students who complete a 3-hour ANT 3120  as a Required Core Course require 9 semester hours of electives; students who complete a 6-hour ANT 3120  Required Core Course require 6 semester hours of electives.)

Note:


*Minimum grade of “C-” (1.7) required.

Students may not enroll in a course as a capstone if they have already taken the parallel course (i.e., 4250 for 4251; 4320 for 4321; 4330 for 4331; or 4350 for 4351). Students should therefore consult with their advisors before selecting seminars and electives.
