Welcome to the Appalachian State University Bulletin
University Bulletins
The Appalachian State University Undergraduate Bulletin and Graduate Bulletin are primarily intended for use by currently enrolled and prospective students, faculty, advisors, and staff. The bulletins provide an overview of the University’s curriculum, academic programs and courses, facilities, and educational resources. They also include University academic policies, regulations, and procedures; information about degree and certificate programs, including degree requirements; a listing and description of courses; and a faculty register.
The Appalachian State University Undergraduate Bulletin is intended for information purposes only and does not constitute a contract between the University and the student. While this catalog presents policies and programs as accurately as possible at the time of publication, the University reserves the right to revise any section or part without notice or obligation.
Which Bulletin Should I Use?
- The requirements specified in each bulletin apply to students who commence their studies during the academic year listed on the bulletin and who remain in continuous enrollment at the institution until they graduate.
- Unsure which bulletin requirements you are currently under? There are two places you can check:
- Appalnet - The ‘Catalog Term’ on the Student Profile page.
- DegreeWorks - The ‘Catalog Year’ in the student header.
- If requirements change, students may elect to comply with the new requirements or to remain under the requirements by which they are governed at the time of the change. To change bulletins, please consult with your advisor (also listed in Appalnet and DegreeWorks).
Select the Undergraduate or Graduate Bulletin on the left or in the drop-down above to explore the Bulletins.
