TEC 3013 - Electronic Communications (3) When Offered: On Demand A study of modern electronic communications systems. Topics included are the representation of information by electronic signals, encoding, modulation, multiplexing, bandwidth and the transmission and reception of signals. Additionally, an introduction to communications media, modern networking, protocols, etc. is presented. Theory is reinforced by laboratory experiments. Lecture two hours, laboratory two hours. Prerequisite: TEC 1023 .
