E S 4300 - Environmental Physiology (3) When Offered: On Demand This course explores how the human body responds to extreme environmental challenges, including heat and cold stress, hyperbaric and hypobaric conditions, microgravity, and air pollution. A specific emphasis will be placed on physiological responses and adaptations of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems during acute and chronic exposure to these conditions. Course material may be delivered through a combination of approaches, including lectures, discussion, demonstrations, and/or videotape presentations. Prerequisites: Declared Exercise Science major or minor, and E S 3005
