S W 4020 - Social Work Practice with Communities and Organizations (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring Applications of social work knowledge and skills to intervention with communities and organizations. This course will teach students to effectively distinguish between micro and macro problems, to assess community and organizational needs and to develop and implement effective macro interventions with neighborhoods, communities, and social agencies. The course provides a conceptual framework for community organization and organizational practice. Prerequisite: admission to the professional sequence or consent of the BSW Program Director.
