When Offered: On Demand Students will develop an understanding of the basic legal principles and procedures relevant to social work practice focusing on the impact of the legal system on social work practice. The course will emphasize the development of critical thinking skills necessary for addressing complex legal and ethical dilemmas. Students will develop social work practice knowledge and skills at both the micro and macro levels. Prerequisite for social work majors taking the course for elective credit: admission to the professional sequence or consent of the BSW Program Director.
