C S 1425 - Overview of Computer Science (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course provides an overview of computing fundamentals using the world-wide web as a platform. Topics include: number systems, von Neumann architecture, XHTML, client-side web programming using a scripting language such as JavaScript, and server-side web programming using a scripting language such as PHP. No previous programming experience is expected. C S 1425 is not open to students with credit for C S 2440 . Corequisite: MAT 1020 or MAT 1025 or equivalent.
