GRA 1012 - Introduction to Graphic Communications (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course is a study of contemporary production practices of the graphic communications industry, examining the basics of digital imaging, page layout assembly, and workflow technologies such as computer-to-plate, print media, and finishing. The application of project based assignments and the study of materials, equipment, health and safety, concepts of text/image input, conversion, and output that are practiced in the graphic communications industry are included as topics. Lecture two hours, laboratory two hours.
