TEC 3738 - Statics and Strength of Structures (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course utilizes a practical approach to introduce students to the principles and physical concepts of statics and strength of materials related to construction. Statics is the study of bodies and forces in equilibrium. The study of bridge types, trusses, and other structures will be integrated into the coursework in order to provide a practical framework for the subject matter. Lecture two hours, laboratory two hours. Prerequisite: TEC 3038 .
