PHY 3020 - Electromagnetism (3) When Offered: Spring A study of electromagnetic theory, including the solution of electrostatics problems using Laplace’s equation, fields in dielectric media, magnetic fields of steady and varying currents, and the development and application of Maxwell’s equations. Prerequisites: PHY 2020 and PHY 3001 with a grade of “C” or higher in each and MAT 3130 , or permission of the instructor.
