TEC 3738 - Materials and Structures II (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course introduces students to the principles and physical concepts of statics (the study of bodies and forces in equilibrium) and strength of materials related to construction. The study of bridge types, trusses, and other structures will be integrated into the coursework in order to provide a practical framework for the subject matter. Lecture two hours, laboratory two hours. Prerequisite: TEC 2739 with a minimum grade of “C” (2.0).
