When Offered: Spring GEN ED: Wellness Literacy African Dance II is an intermediate level, studio-based West African dance course, with an emphasis on exploring and deconstructing complex movement combinations that are typical of African dance. In this stylized performance technique, students will explore the history and movement vocabulary of the people of the west coast of Africa and investigate the role dance plays in the traditional and contemporary lives of West African communities. Studio Prerequisites: DAN 1430 African Dance I or permission of instructor. (Global Learning Opportunity course)
