NUR 5070 - Contemporary Issues in Nursing (3) When Offered: Fall, Summer Session This course enables students to analyze contemporary issues in nursing; including concepts related to quality improvement, patient safety, global health, rural health, healthcare policy, organization, technology in nursing, and financing, the global healthcare environment and perspectives, informatics, health disparities, and interprofessional practice. An emphasis will be placed on a systematic approach to the economic, legal and political factors that influence health care. Prerequisite: Admission to the MSN program.
