HPE 2120 - Kinesiology (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course will address functional anatomy and basic, qualitative biomechanics relevant to teaching, evaluating and enhancing skill performance. The role of the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems as they relate to the acute and chronic responses to aerobic and anaerobic exercise will also be emphasized. The course will provide an introduction to the physiology of health and fitness that allows for the ability to design safe activities and/or exercise programs to enhance health, fitness, or performance for age groups ranging from children to adults. A minimum grade of “C” (2.0) is required.
