VTN 2090 - Large, Laboratory, and Exotic Animal Nursing (3) When Offered: On Demand This course introduces the fundamentals of preventive medicine and common diseases present in large animals, mammalian research animals, and common exotic animals. Content will also include common restraint practices, daily care, and housing needs, along with legal/ethical/welfare issues in animal research. Safety issues will be integrated throughout the course consistent with the CVTEA Statement on Safety Appendix, with an emphasis on zoonoses and occupational safety. Prerequisite: VTN 1030 with a minimum grade of “C” (2.0). Prerequisites or corequisites: VTN 2010 , VTN 2020 .
