O_T 5100 - Foundations of Occupation-Based Practice (4) When Offered: Fall The domain and process of therapeutic interventions in occupational therapy is addressed for individual, group, and population-based clientele. Emphasis is placed on observation and reasoning skills to begin to articulate therapeutic processes. Students carry out procedures in the lab component related to assessment of occupational performance, enactment of occupation-centered intervention and clinical reasoning regarding the need for and conclusion of therapy services, including pragmatic and ethical decision-making. This course includes an integrated level I fieldwork experience. Lecture 3 hours, Laboratory 3 hours
