NUT 5160 - Health and Public Policy (3) When Offered: Fall This course provides an introduction to domestic and international food policies and how they shape agricultural practices and the nutritional and health status of communities. Students will become active participants in policy processes and the ways in which these impact the food landscape, including food markets, food aid, obesity, food retailing, agriculture, and food safety. By understanding the fundamentals of policies, students will become familiar with the politics of agriculture, food, nutrition, and the environment.
