PHY 1123 - General Physics I (3)

GEN ED: (PHY 1123 and PHY 1124 ) Science Inquiry Perspective (Theme: “Physics of Our Technological World”)
A study of the basic principles of physics including mechanics, thermodynamics, sound, electricity and magnetism, optics, and modern physics.
NOTE: Not open to students with credit for PHY 2010.
Prerequisite: Demonstrated Readiness for College-level Math or Demonstrated Readiness for Calculus. Corequisite for PHY 1123: None with a Calculus Readiness Placement score of 12 or higher. Otherwise MAT 1020 or MAT 1025 or the equivalent is a required corequisite. Prerequisite or corequisite: PHY 1113.
