P S 3550 - Judicial Decision-Making (3) When Offered: On Demand GEN ED: Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID) This course is designed to expose students to the theories and research that explain why judges make the decisions they make, and how these decisions interact with the other branches of the American political system. Focusing primarily on the Supreme Court, students in this course will gain an understanding of the roles that the law, politics, and ideology play in guiding decisions of the “least dangerous branch.” Prerequisite: R C 2001 or its equivalent.
