U S 4559 - Wilderness Education Practicum (4) When Offered: Fall; Spring Through wilderness challenges supervised by an Outward Bound School or the Wilderness Center at the University, the student will have the opportunity to learn such skills as bicycle touring and rockclimbing or ski mountaineering and primitive caving. The goals of this course will be centered around encouraging self-awareness and personal responsibility, developing a sense of conscience and competence, stimulating awareness of nature and human relationships and integrating all aspects of one’s personal life. Graded on an S/U basis.
