TEC 5515 - PV Operations and Maintenance (3) [DL] When Offered: On Demand This course will introduce students to concepts, tools, techniques, and materials needed to perform operations and maintenance (O&M) on utility-scale PV systems, including inspections, commissioning, performance verification, and troubleshooting to maximize resilience. The course emphasizes how to safely and effectively utilize essential O&M techniques, such as I-V curve tracing, thermal imaging, and electroluminescence imaging. Industry-standard data analysis techniques will be used to quantify contributions to decarbonization. PV reliability issues at the system, module, and cell level will be studied. Contemporary trends, products, economics, and policies will be emphasized. Content mastery and analytical problem solving at the graduate level is expected. Lecture two hours, laboratory two hours.
