Program of Study for the Master of Science in Engineering Physics and the Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics
Admission Requirements: Baccalaureate degree in physics or any science or related area such as mathematics, computer science, or engineering from an accredited college or university; complete application to the Graduate School ; official general GRE exam scores; evidence of knowledge in statistics and economics through course work, work experience or completion of the accelerated prerequisite program before taking graduate course work in those subjects.
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School . Meeting this condition does not guarantee admission.

Course Requirements for the Dual Master of Science in Engineering Physics and Applied Data Analytics
Total Required (Minimum 54 Hours)
MS in Engineering Physics Required Courses (18 Hours)
Electives (6 Hours)
6 hours of graduate electives with approval from Engineering Physics graduate program director
MS in Applied Data Analytics (18 Hours)
Shared Courses (18 Hours)
Other Requirements for the Dual MS in Engineering Physics and MS in Applied Data Analytics
- Thesis: Optional for both programs. For Engineering Physics, physics thesis hours would count as an approved elective.
- Proficiency: Not Required for either program.
- Candidacy: Required for the thesis option for Engineering Physics; admission to candidacy is awarded upon approval of thesis committee and prospectus. Required for Applied Data Analytics; Students must demonstrate knowledge and ability in technology, statistical methods, business case analysis and professional presentation skills through a program level final project reviewed presentation.
- Comprehensive: Required for Engineering Physics. An oral defense of the thesis is required for the thesis option. For the non-thesis option, a written and oral comprehensive examination is required. Not required for Applied Data Analytics.
- Product of Learning: Not required for either program.
