Foundations of American Democracy Requirement (3 Hours)

Foundations of American Democracy Requirement

Three (3) credits of Foundations of American Democracy (FAD) are required for degree completion. Courses that meet this requirement may also be used to meet other major, minor, or General Education requirements.

Major Requirements (65-68 Hours)

2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major discipline, plus any other courses under Major Requirements. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered by Appalachian.

Core Sociology Courses (26-29 Hours)

All courses are required and hours only vary due to internship placement.

NOTE: Each course marked with an asterisk must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.0) or higher.
