General Education Requirements (44 hours)

(PHY 1103  & PHY 1104  for the major fulfills Science Inquiry. MAT 1020  fulfills Quantitative Literacy. TEC 2029 , PHL 2015 , PHY 1830  may count in Gen Ed: ILE; TEC 2601  and ECO 2620  may count toward Gen Ed: Liberal Studies Experience).

Major Requirements (87 Hours)

(An overall 2.0 GPA is required in the major. 18 semester hours must be completed at Appalachian. Laptop computers are required).

  • Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID)
    and
  • Senior Capstone Experience (CAP) must be met.
