Total Hours Required: 14 Hours

A minor in biology consists of a minimum of 14 semester hours of biology taken in courses numbered 2000 and above. BIO 2200 cannot be used to meet these requirements.

Biology courses at the 2000 level and above require either BIO 1801 or BIO 1802 as a prerequisite, depending on subdiscipline. Students who plan to register for BIO 1802 without BIO 1801 will require a permit from the Biology Department.

A minimum of 9 hours must be ‘in residence,” i.e. courses taken through ASU (can include study abroad, ASU online courses, etc.).
