Education Minor
The Education Minor provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to engage meaningfully with the field of education, whether as a complement to their major program of study or as a pathway to apply previously completed education coursework to this minor. The minor is designed to introduce students to foundational concepts in teaching, learning, and human development. Total Required Hours (15 Hours)
Required Courses (6 Hours)
Elective Hours (9 Hours)
Elective courses (9 hours) should be chosen with a specific area of study in mind, from courses already offered through a teacher education major. Any additional elective courses must be approved by the appropriate program director in conjunction with a student’s academic advisor. Note
This minor alone does not result in an endorsement for professional licensure through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction without the fulfillment of all additional licensure requirements, including enrollment in an approved licensure program and student teaching. A student must meet all Admission to Teacher Education requirements to pursue an education major, which leads to licensure. |
