TEC 5129 - Project Management (3) When Offered: Spring The study of management procedures, techniques, and practices in technical settings. A systems approach to managing processes and solving problems is emphasized. Topics include a variety of tools and techniques that project managers use to achieve success, including economic analysis, basic statistics, decision trees, personnel costing, critical path method, and scheduling software. Students will use spreadsheets to employ many of these techniques. In addition, the course investigates personnel relations, leadership techniques, facility layout and design, just-in-time inventory, planning for expansion, and other management issues.
