PH 4000 - Physical Activity in Public Health (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course is an interdisciplinary combination of knowledge and skills from public health and other related fields to prepare students to promote health through physical activity. Students will come away with a greater understanding of how to advance the use of physical activity for the prevention and treatment of chronic disease and other health issues. Students will gain theoretical and applied experience in the promotion of individual and community physical activity through planning, implementation, and evaluation of successful physical activity promotion programs. This course helps to prepare students for the ACSM Physical Activity in Public Health certification. Prerequisite: PH 2000 .
