THR 4850 - Theatre Study in New York City (1) When Offered: Fall. This advanced-level course explores the acknowledged theatre capital of the world, New York City, as a capstone experience for theatre majors and minors seeking application of their studies to the larger profession. Shared experiences will be selected from among the following: attendance at Broadway and Off-Broadway productions; backstage tours; meetings with agents and managers, representatives of various unions/trade associations/guilds, and industry professionals; a gathering with Appalachian alumni working in the field. May be repeated once for credit. Prerequisite: Permission of the Instructor
