PH 3600 - Global Public Health (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course is designed to provide a background in global health for students majoring in public health or closely associated majors. It focuses on cultural, structural, political and economic causes and consequences of health problems, and presents new methods designed to improve health behaviors and health outcomes. Context areas to be addressed in this course include, but are not limited to, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, sexual and gender-based violence, water, sanitation and hygiene, food security, and humanitarian emergencies. Prerequisite: PH 2000
