VTN 4300 - Compassionate End of Life Care (1) When Offered: On Demand Coursework topics include the history and societal impact of euthanasia, drug pharmacology, caregiver considerations, pre-euthanasia sedation protocols, euthanasia techniques, case reviews, and more. Everything taught closely follows the AVMA euthanasia guidelines, with focus on achieving a stress-free, pain-free passing. The techniques and philosophy taught in the program are those commonly used in human-animal bond centered hospitals and clinics. Prerequisites: VTN 1030 with a minimum grade of “C” (2.0), VTN 3030 , VTN 3070 , VTN 3080 .
