GS 4404 - The Meaning and Nature of Science (3) [WID]
When Offered: Fall GEN ED: Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID) The goal of this course is to help students develop a sound understanding of the nature of science, the process of scientific inquiry, and the reciprocal relationship between science and society through a critical examination of the history of science since the Renaissance. Lecture three hours. Prerequisite: RC 2001 or its equivalent. [Dual-listed with GS 5404.] Dual-listed courses require senior standing; juniors may enroll with permission of the department.
