FER 3200 - Bioprocessing II (3) When Offered: Spring This course will reinforce student understanding of bioprocessing, primarily through case studies and real world examples. Topics to be covered include the bioremediation of waters and soils, waste treatment, woody biomass utilization, the production of commodity chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and emerging trends. Emphasis will be placed on the theoretical, technical, and economic aspects of bioprocessing. This course will provide students with knowledge relevant to the design and operation of standard bioprocessing facilities. Prerequisite: RC 2001 ; FER 3100 ; FER 3120 ; CHE 2210 /CHE 2211
