GHY 3011 - Europe Past and Present (3) [WID] When Offered: Spring GEN ED: Junior Writing in the Discipline (WID) This course investigates key social, political and economic institutions, history, and cultural landscapes of selected regions of Europe. By investigating Europe (through case studies) at the city, region, state and supra-national level, this course explores its great diversity, including the history and distribution of its inhabitants, languages, religions, political organization, and everyday life. The course also focuses on historic and contemporary efforts to bring about political, economic and social integration, and the challenges raised by such efforts. Prerequisite: RC 2001 or its equivalent
