When Offered: Fall; Spring A study of the management decisions needed in order to successfully operate a commercial bank as a part of the financial services industry. The competitive structure of the industry and problems of banks and other financial institutions are considered. Emphasis is given to asset/liability management. Prerequisites: a minimum grade of “C” (2.0) in any Writing in the Discipline (WID) course, FIN 3690, and either FIN 3790 or ECO 3070. [Dual-listed with FIN 5610.] Dual-listed courses require senior standing. Juniors may enroll with permission of the department.
