G_S 3300 - Educational Applications of Science Concepts (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring This course is designed to address science concepts relevant to K-12 teachers in the realms of physical, biological, and earth sciences. Pedagogy reflects styles used in K-12 classrooms: emphasis on inquiry, concept development, quantitative applications, science and engineering practices, and use of technology. Course content aligns with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, the Next Generation Science Standards, and the Frameworks for 21st-Century Learning. Fall sections focus on high school science concepts and teaching; spring sections focus on middle level science concepts and teaching. Prerequisite: Demonstrated readiness for college level math
