GHY 4812 - GIS Analysis and Modeling (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring Geographic Information Systems (GIS) provide powerful capabilities for modeling real-world phenomena in support of decision-making and in scientific research. This advanced GIS course will focus on concepts and strategies for raster modeling within a GIS. Objectives of the course include understanding fundamental and advanced GIS analysis methods, and the application of spatial concepts and procedures through computer-based exercises and projects. Prerequisite: GHY 3812 . [Dual-listed with GHY 5812.] Dual-listed courses require senior standing; juniors may enroll with permission of the department.
