IND 4110 - Furniture IV (4) [CAP] When Offered: Spring GEN ED: Capstone Experience This course is an advanced study of furniture design. Through the development of a systematic design methodology, students will undertake an in-depth approach to problem- solving for furniture design. Understanding and utilizing research as a primary tool, students will address specific design criteria and innovate for niche markets. Through the production of the actual working prototype, a further sense of how design functions as a tool will be achieved. In addition, this hands-on application will foster a greater knowledge of materials, the applied integration of CAD, and an appreciation for craftsmanship. Studio eight hours. Prerequisite: IND 4100 .
