GHY 4816 - Environmental GIScience (3) When Offered: Fall; Spring Environmental GIScience is an advanced course that delves into the intersection of spatial analysis, modeling, and GIScience for addressing real-world environmental challenges. This course offers students an opportunity to gain practical experience in GIS modeling and understand the crucial role of location-based information and data management tools in enhancing environmental management and strategy. Throughout the course, students will explore specific applications and learn how to integrate them with cutting-edge analysis techniques to create more effective environmental spatial models. Lecture two hours, laboratory two hours. Prerequisite: GHY 3812 or permission of the instructor. [Dual-listed with GHY 5816.] Dual-listed courses require senior standing; juniors may enroll with permission of the department.
