FCS 4690 - Intentional Teaching in Early Education (3)


When Offered: Fall
In this course students will apply their knowledge of children and of content to make thoughtful, intentional use of intentional teaching practices and strategies This course will provide students with opportunities to explore and apply intentional teaching across disciplines within the context of early learning and early elementary environments. This course also provides opportunities to select, modify, present, and extend curriculum for young children who are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse in a developmental framework. This course will provide students with instruction and support in (a) advocating for and implementing evidence-based practices, (b) reflecting on instructional practices at an advanced level, and (c) integrating Universal Design for Learning into their planning for young children.
