CSD 5210 - Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) (3)

When Offered: Fall
This course provides an overview of AAC systems, assistive technology, and the process for selecting and implementing these systems. The application of AAC systems for individuals with limited speech who have developmental and acquired disorders is covered. This course will prepare students to provide assessment and intervention to children and adults with complex communication needs and how to support and incorporate their families/caregivers.
