LIB 5060 - Building Connections Through Community and Culture (3) When Offered: On Demand In this course, students will explore cultural issues and their relevance to the role of the public librarian and school media specialist in providing library services to the local, regional, national and international community. Elements of culture, such as oral narratives, genealogy, community history, and literature, will be examined through a local and global perspective. In some cases, study abroad experiences will provide opportunities to examine community and cultural issues on an international level.
