The Cybersecurity minor is available to all business and non-business majors, except for CIS majors with a concentration in cybersecurity. Students may earn a Cybersecurity minor by completion of the following 15 hours of coursework:

Required courses (9 Hours)

Electives - Select two of the following (6 Hours)

CIS 3760 - Blockchain for Business (3)
CS 3760 - System Administration and Security (3)
CIS 3820 - Ethics and Privacy (3)
CIS 3880 - Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures (3)
CIS 3900 - Internship (3, 6, or 9) *CIS 3900 is a 3, 6, or 9 sh course, but only 3 of these hours may apply to meeting the requirements for the minor.

Note:

Students not admitted to the Walker College of Business may take a maximum of five business courses at the 3000-level or above, including graduate-level courses (unless more are specifically listed as required on the Program of Study for a non-business major, a required concentration, or a required minor). See course descriptions for prerequisites.

A minimum overall GPA of 2.5 is required for the courses included in the minor. No more than one business minor can be declared by a non-business major.
